Getting Your Success Fees Back - File a SNC (Sale Not Complete)
Posted by bidorbuy Admin, Last modified by bidorbuy Marketing on 30 October 2015 02:17 PM

Every time a sale is concluded, bidorbuy automatically charges the Seller a Success Fee.

If the transaction is not completed through no fault of the Seller (for example, due to non-payment on the part of the Buyer), the Seller needs to file a Sale Not Complete (SNC) to claim back the Success Fee.

Please take note of the following guidelines:

  • The Seller must allow 7 days from the date of sale before filing a SNC. During that period, the Seller should try to contact the Buyer and finalise the transaction.
  • The Seller must file a SNC no later than 60 days from the date of sale.
  • To file a SNC, the Seller needs to log into My bidorbuy, select the Selling tab and click on File SNC under the Sale Not Complete (SNC) option.
  • Once a Seller submits a SNC claim, the Buyer has 7 days to respond or to appeal. If the Buyer indicates intention to pay within that period, he or she has a further 7 days to do so.
  • If the Buyer appeals the SNC claim, the SNC Administrator will consider the case and make the final decision.
  • Sellers can retract SNCs at any time. Sellers should retract SNCs if the buyer has subsequently paid for the purchase, even if that happens after the SNC has been completed.
  • Sellers who file false SNC claims will be suspended.

Tip for sellers: Sellers are advised to file SNCs for non-payment before leaving a negative rating. Once a SNC is filed against a Buyer, the non-paying Buyer cannot rate a Seller until the issue is resolved. Rating the Buyer before filing a SNC makes the Seller vulnerable to a revenge rating.

Note to buyers: Please think before bidding or buying. Once you place an order on bidorbuy, please follow through with prompt payment. Non-paying buyers cost sellers a lot both in terms of time and money.
